Migibio

Shipping, Returns & Warranty

This page explains how Migibio products are shipped, how to handle them on arrival, and what to do if something is wrong with an order. The delivery term, lead time and claim period applicable to your order are stated in your quotation and order confirmation.

Shipping Terms

  • Delivery terms are quoted per order — typically FOB or CIF under Incoterms 2020, with the named port stated in the quotation. Risk, cost and insurance allocation follow the agreed Incoterm.
  • Freight method (air, courier or sea) is selected with the quantity, destination and urgency of the order; analyzers and larger reagent orders are normally shipped by air or sea freight, with courier available for smaller consignments and samples.
  • Lead time runs from order confirmation and, where a deposit is agreed, from receipt of that deposit. Delivery dates are given in good faith and depend on production, inspection, freight availability and customs clearance.

Packaging and Temperature Handling

ProductPackaging and handling
Reagent kitsSealed foil pouches with desiccant and the ID chip, packed in cartons with the IFU and lot documentation
AnalyzersFoam-protected instrument packaging with accessories and manuals, boxed for freight
Storage in transit and on arrivalStore at 4–30 °C; do not freeze
Test conditionsOperate at 18–28 °C; complete testing within 30 minutes of opening the pouch
Shelf lifeAs printed on the kit label and stated in the IFU

Keep the cartons and inner packaging until you have checked the consignment. Where a shipment passes through extreme temperatures, allow the kit to equilibrate to operating temperature before use, as described in the IFU.

Shipping Documents

Each shipment includes a commercial invoice and packing list, and the products’ Instructions for Use. Depending on destination and order, we also provide:

  • Certificate of analysis (lot release);
  • Safety data sheet (MSDS);
  • Certificate of origin;
  • Free-sale certificate or other manufacturer documents on request.

Documentation for customs and registration can be requested before shipment, so that any destination-country requirement is settled before the goods leave. See Regulatory Compliance.

Delivery Issues

Short shipment, incorrect item or visible transit damage — report it promptly and in any event within 30 days of receipt, with photographs, the packing list reference and the lot number. Keep the goods and packaging as received so that the claim can be assessed with the carrier and against our lot records. Confirmed short shipments, wrong items and transit damage are replaced or credited.

Delayed or held consignments — send us the tracking or bill of lading reference and we will follow up with the forwarder. Customs holds in the destination country are normally resolved by the importer of record, and we supply the supporting documents you need.

Temperature excursions — if a consignment shows signs of temperature exposure, quarantine it and contact us with photographs of the packaging and any indicator strip before using the kits. Do not use kits from a consignment that may have frozen or overheated.

Returns

Reagent kits are temperature-sensitive biological products, so returns require prior written authorisation:

SituationHandling
Confirmed manufacturing defect, or an incorrect item suppliedReplacement or credit, traced through the lot number
Visible transit damage or short shipmentNotified as above; resolved with the carrier and replaced or credited
Opened, partially used, expired or incorrectly stored kitsNot returnable — integrity cannot be verified
Ordering error or over-ordering by the buyerOnly with our written agreement; return freight and handling at the buyer’s cost

To request authorisation, contact us with the order reference, catalog number, quantity, lot number and reason. We will confirm whether to return the goods and provide shipping instructions; unauthorised returns cannot be accepted or credited. Where goods are returned across a border, the buyer is responsible for customs documentation and any duties.

Warranty

  • Analyzers and instruments — warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery. Wear parts, and damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, incorrect power supply or failure to follow the manual, are excluded.
  • Reagents and kits — warranted to conform to their agreed specification and to the IFU at the time of shipment, within the printed shelf life when stored as specified (4–30 °C).
  • Claims window — quality-related claims must be raised within 30 days of receipt; equipment warranty claims may be made within the 12-month warranty period.
  • What is not covered — use outside the intended (veterinary) use, use on human samples, storage contrary to the IFU, expiry, or handling that compromises the product’s integrity.
  • Making a claim — contact us with the order reference, product and lot number, purchase date, a description of the problem and, where relevant, QC or result records. We will assess the claim and, where it is confirmed, repair, replace or credit the affected products as described in our Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Quality Records and Traceability

Every kit carries a lot number, which links it to our production and lot-release records. Please quote it in any support, quality or returns correspondence — it is what allows us to trace the batch, check release data, and resolve your issue quickly. See Support & Downloads for IFU access, SOP templates and technical support.

Frequently asked questions

How should Migibio test kits be stored during shipping and on arrival?
Store kits at 4–30 °C until their expiration date. Operate the test at 18–28 °C after opening the device, and complete testing within 30 minutes of opening the pouch. Kits should not be frozen, and storage conditions stated in the Instructions for Use always prevail.
What should I do if a shipment arrives damaged or incomplete?
Contact us promptly with photographs, the packing list reference and the lot number. Keep the carton, inner packaging and any damaged items as received, so that we can assess the claim with the carrier and against our lot records — visible damage or short shipment should be reported within 30 days of receipt.
Can opened reagent kits be returned?
No. Reagent kits are temperature-sensitive biological products, so opened, partially used, expired or incorrectly stored kits cannot be returned because their integrity cannot be verified. Manufacturing defects and incorrectly supplied items are of course replaced or credited — contact us with the lot number for authorisation.
What is the warranty period?
Analyzers and instruments carry a 12-month warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship; reagent kits are warranted to conform to their specification and IFU at the time of shipment. Quality-related claims must be raised within 30 days of receipt. Wear parts, and damage from misuse, unauthorised modification or failure to follow the manual, are excluded.
